Monks are disciplined martial artists using unarmed combat, mobility, saving throws, ki abilities, and defensive class features.

Class Type: Base class.
Hit Die: d8.
Proficiencies: Monk weapons; quarterstaff counts as a Monk weapon; no armor or shield proficiencies.
Skill Points: 4 + Int Modifier.
Class Skills: Concentration, Discipline, Heal, Hide, Listen, Lore, Move Silently, Parry, Persuade, Spot, Tumble.
Primary Saving throw(s): Fortitude, Reflex, Will.
Base Attack Bonus: +3/4 levels with normal -5 iterative attack progression.
Primary Ability: Dexterity.
Maximum Level: None.
Spellcasting: None.

Class Features

Feature Description
Improved Unarmed Strike Unarmed attacks no longer provoke attacks of opportunity. Use: Automatic.
Flurry of Blows Flurry of Blows grants one extra attack at Monk levels 1-10. Its attack penalty improves from -2 to -1 at level 5 and disappears at level 9. At level 11, Greater Flurry grants a second extra attack. Use: Combat.
Evasion When a Reflex save would halve damage, a successful save prevents all damage. Requires light armor or no armor and does not work while helpless. Use: Automatic.
Fast Movement Increases movement speed, scaling with Monk level. Use: Automatic.
Stunning Fist Usable once per day per Monk level without the normal attack or damage penalties. On a hit, the target must pass a Fortitude save against DC 10 + half character level + Wisdom modifier or be stunned for 1 round. Creatures immune to critical hits are immune. Use: Selected.
Deflect Arrows While not flat-footed, attempts to deflect one incoming missile attack per round with a Reflex save against DC 20. Use: Automatic.
Still Mind Grants +2 competence on saving throws against mind-affecting spells and effects. Use: Automatic.
Purity of Body Grants immunity to non-magical diseases. Use: Automatic.
Wholeness of Body Once per day, heals Monk level + (Monk level x Wisdom modifier) hit points. Use: Selected.
Improved Evasion A successful Reflex save against a half-damage effect prevents all damage; a failed save takes only half damage. Requires light armor or no armor and does not work while helpless. Use: Automatic.
Ki Strike Unarmed attacks gain the listed attack bonus and count as magical for overcoming damage reduction: +1 at level 10, +2 at level 13, and +3 at level 16. Use: Automatic.
Diamond Body Grants immunity to poison. Use: Automatic.
Diamond Soul Grants spell resistance equal to Monk level + 10. Use: Automatic.
Perfect Self Grants immunity to mind-affecting spells and effects and damage reduction 20/+1. Use: Automatic.
Improved Knockdown Counts as one size category larger when making Knockdown attempts. Use: Selected.
Monk AC Bonus Adds the Wisdom modifier and the Monk class AC progression to Armor Class while unarmored. Use: Automatic.
Quivering Palm Once per day, a successful attack forces a Fortitude save against DC 10 + half Monk level + Wisdom modifier or kills the target. It can affect targets of any level; creatures immune to critical hits remain immune. Use: Selected.
Abundant Step At Monk level 12 or higher, the monk can slip magically between spaces; caster level for this effect is half Monk level, rounded down. The monk can pass through or occupy the same space as other creatures. Use: Selected.
Timeless Body At Monk level 17, the monk no longer takes ability-score penalties for aging and cannot be magically aged. Existing aging penalties remain, aging bonuses still apply, and old age is not a gameplay death condition. Use: Automatic.
Empty Body Grants 50% concealment. Use: Selected.
Knockdown Makes a melee attack at -4; on a hit, the target makes an opposed Discipline check against the attack roll or is knocked prone. Size modifiers apply. Use: Selected.
Cleave After killing an opponent, grants one free melee attack against another opponent in reach. Use: Automatic.
Unarmed Equipment Gloves are equipped in the main-hand slot.
