en:class-changes

Wizard

  • familiar level is equal to the sum of wizard+sorcerer levels
  • familiar shares spells with master; as long as the familiar is within 5 feets from master, any wiz/sorc spell cast on self will be duplicated on familiar as well
  • Epic spells system changed - epic spells are no longer feats, but can be learned more about that here

Sorcerer

  • sorcerer (and bard/favored soul) is now able to select new spells known or change his current selection when levelling up in a prstige class that grants “+1 existing level to arcane spellcasting class”
  • familiar level is equal to the sum of wizard+sorcerer levels
  • familiar shares spells with master; as long as the familiar is within 5 feets from master, any wiz/sorc spell cast on self will be duplicated on familiar as well
  • Epic spells system changed - epic spells are no longer feats, but can be learned more about that here

Cleric

  • Healing Domain now grants +1 caster level when casting these spells: all Cure Wounds spells, Heal, Mass Heal, Regenerate, Monstrous Regeneration
  • Removed spells: sanctuary
  • Raise dead and Resurrection spell now imposes a penalty onto the target: -4ab, -4 skills, -2 saves, -50% speed, 20% spell failure. This penalty lasts for 5 rounds.
  • New Spell Added: True Resurrection, with no penalties (component holy water is required to cast)

Assassin

  • now fulfills the arcane spell prerequisites of Red Dragon Disciple and Arcane Archer (but not Pale Master from balance reasons)
  • gains Hide in Plain Sight at lvl 8
  • has spellBook; casting ability is intelligence

Rogue

  • gains extra damage from traps he sets equal to his Sneak Attack damage
  • can select custom feats on his special rogue bonus feats: Secured Trap Handling and Widen Trap

Shadow Dancer

  • Shadow Evade feat now grants: 50% immunity to any incoming damage, true invisibility (invisibility not being removed by attacking), for number of level rounds
  • gains Shadow Twin at lv 10, this feat will create a duplicate of shadow dancer which will act as henchman, duration 2 turns

Ranger

  • animal companion can be summoned at level 4
  • animal companion level is equal to the sum of ranger+druid levels
  • favored enemy bonus is +2 instead of +1 at pre-epic levels
  • gains Woodland Stride at 7
  • gains Evasion at 9
  • gains Hide in Plain Sight at 17
  • spell selection changes: longstrider (new spell) 1, barkskin 2, owls wisdom 2, endurance 2, spike growth 2

Barbarian

  • rage duration is 3 + (newly improved) constitution modifier rounds, feat Extended Rage adds another 5 rounds to the duration
  • after rage ends, barbarian is fatigued (-2str, -2dex, 50% speed decrease) for a duration of 10 rounds
  • damage reduction now starts at lv 7 (was 11) and increases by +1/- every 3 levels thereafter
  • gains Indomitable Will feat (additional +4 bonus to will saving throws vs mind spells) at lvl 14
  • gains Tireless Rage feat (no longer suffer from fatigue after rage ends) at lvl 17
  • gains Mighty Rage at lv 20
  • Mighty Rage is now passive feat improving normal's rage bonuses
  • rage bonuses doesn't count towards +12 cap

Bard

  • lv 30 bard song improvement (requires 100 perform): +3attack, +4damage, +4will, +3fort, +3reflexes, +48hitpoints, +7AC, +18skills
  • Bard song now lasts of maximum ( 10rounds + 5rounds lingering song + 20rounds lasting inspiration + items

Druid:

  • animal companion level is equal to the sum of ranger+druid levels
  • animal companion shares spells with master; as long as the animal is within 5 feets from master, any druid spell cast on self will be duplicated on animal as well
  • new spells: longstrider 1, magic stone 1, goodberry 1, owl's wisdom 2, endurance 2, cat's grace 2, spike stones 4, baleful polymorph 5, call lightning storm 6, fire seeds 6, whirlwind 8, mass drown 9
  • spells summon creature I-IX replaced by summon nature's ally I-IX which summons creatures as would summon creature spell of one level higher
  • removed spells: circle of healing, owl's insight, awaken, nature's balance

Druid/Shifter:

  • all druid/shifter shapes will use character's strength/constitution/dexterity if it is higher than what shape provides
  • all druid/shifter unarmed shapes will now properly take effect of all weapon feats for unarmed including devastating critical hit
  • all druid/shifter shapes are merging also “items” category
  • “items” category now consists of arms slot too, so druid will merge gloves/bracers (but not the offensive properties from them)
  • “weapons” category is now merged by unarmed shapes as well, however only defensive properties + damage bonus actually do work on natural weapons
  • ability bonuses, skill bonuses and saving throw bonuses from merged items stacks together
  • polymorphing doesn't decrease spells slots, however most of the times, the spell slots that would normally be lost will be “depleted” after cancelling the polymorph
  • humanoid-like shifter shapes (minotaur, kobold, risen lord, rakshasa etc.) can use miscellaneous items such as scrolls, wands, healer's kits etc.

Red Dragon Disciple

  • as a compensation to the fire immunity, at lv 10 gets increased 50% vulnerability against cold damage
  • AC Increase above level 10 is now +1 per 3 levels (was 1 per 5)
  • can now select these feats as epic bonus feats: Great Charisma, Great Constitution, Great Strength, Improved Spell Resistance
  • breath weapon DC/damage changed to follow 3.5 rules, also the breath can be used once per 1 minute

Pale Master

  • Pale Master increases caster level by 1 at each odd level (as per wizard's spell level progression) and also provide new spells to sorcerer/bard
  • after becoming the Pale Master, character's alignment is shifted to Lawful Evil. Character with levels in PM won't be able to change alignment by any means.
  • Can't take epic spells, unless you can cast 9.level spells. (19int/wisdom + spellcasting class with 9.level spells)

Monk

  • feat Ki Strike adds corresponding attack bonus when fighting unarmed
  • Wholeness of Body now heals [monk level] + [monk level * wisdom modifier] hitpoints
  • Quivering Palm now works on all targets no matter their level (immunity to critical hit still prevents it though)
  • can select Epic Prowess as epic bonus feat

Paladin

  • gets additional Smite Evil use at each 5th level

Blackguard

  • gets additional Smite Good use at each 5th level
  • has spellbook, spell selection is similar to paladin, needs wisdom 10+spell level to cast spells
  • feat Epic Fiendish Servant removed from game, now the summon from this feat will be gained automatically at lvl 15 of blackguard
  • all blackguard summons now get these traits:
  1. Improved Evasion
  2. Spell sharing (see Wizard class changes above)
  3. get Blood Bond feat at character level 16+ - +2ab, saves and skills anytime the master is in combat
  4. get SR equal to master's BG level+5 at character level 19+
  5. All BG summons now gain extra (uncapped) stats according to the table at: https://www.d20srd.org/srd/prestigeClasses/blackguard.htm + the informations at Epic Blackguard page
  6. the level scaling will now bring Epic Vrock to the same level as is master's BG level (in vanilla it has -4 adjustment for some reason)

Champion of Torm/Champion of Bane

  • Lay of Hands uses will stack with Lay of Hands from Paladin (ie. you get 2 uses per day if you have also Paladin 2+ in build)
  • number of uses of Divine Wrath is now [number of levels in Champion of Torm+ Champion of Bane]/5

Dwarven Defender

  • defensive stance bonuses to abilities doesn't count towards +12 cap, bonus to AC still however counts towards +20 dodge cap
  • gains +1 AC at level 1, each three levels after 1st, this bonus increases by +1 (ie +2 at 4 +3 at 7 etc.). This bonus counts toward Dodge Cap.
  • DD now gets bonus epic feat with slower progression, once per five levels after 10

Arcane Archer

  • number of Imbue Arrow uses is now 1 at level 2 and then +1 each 4 levels thereafter (ie. 2 uses at lvl 6, 3 uses at 10 etc.)
  • Imbue Arrow damage is now 1d6 per each AA level, minimum 10d6 (default nwn formula is (10 + half the level above 10)d6)
  • DC od Arrow of Death is now 10 + 1/2 levels of Arcane Archer + dexterity modifier, this DC is futher increased with feats Improved Arrow of Death I-X
  • Arrow of Death can be used once each 1 ingame hour (which is equal to 2 minutes)

Purple Dragon Knight

Req; Non-Evil, Non-Chaotic, BAB 4,
Feats: Mounted Combat (1 Ride),
Skills: 2 Spot, 1 Intimidate, 2 Listen, 1 Persuade, 2 Ride

  1. Rallying Cry - +1 AB to all allies within 60ft use 3/day, Heroic Shield - +4 AC for 1 round
  2. Inspire Courage - +2 Saves vs Mind & +1 AB / Dmg use 1/day
  3. Fear – Spell use 1/day
  4. Inspire Courage - +2 Saves vs Mind & +1 AB / Dmg use 2/day, Oath of Wrath - +2 AB / Dmg / Saves / Skill vs Single Enemy type
  5. Final Stand - +2d10 HP to number of allies equal to PDK lvl + CHA bonus use 1/day

General changes:

  • Heroic Shield, Oath of Wrath and Inspire Courage now ‘eats’ uses of the Rallying Cry ability
  • Rallying Cry has 5 + CHA modifier number of uses
  • Feat Mounted Archery additionally increases Rallying Cry number of uses by 5
  • Skill Ride has direct influence to most buffs, each point is extra round, thus 10 points = extra turn. Bonuses from DEX and item applies.

Rallying Cry

Harper Scout

  • has spellbook, casting ability is charisma
