Devoted to the art of summoning, a thaumaturgist forges pacts with extraplanar entities, strengthening their summons and expanding their magical reach.

**Special**: Able to summmon an animal companion or familiar.

The thaumaturgist's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Animal Empathy (Cha), Concentration (Con), Heal (Wis), Lore (Int), Parry (Dex), Persuade (Cha) and Spellcraft (Int).

===== Class Features: =====
All of the following are class features of the Thaumaturgist prestige class.

**Improved Ally**: +2 HD to animal companion or familiar. Additionally Thaumaturgist level counts for the purpose of animal companion/familiar HD.

**Empower Summoning**: An additional +2 str and con bonus to all summons.

**Extend Summoning**: Double duration of summons, stacks with Extend Spell.

**Hastened Ally**: All summoned creatures are hasted.

**Summoning Mastery**: Can control two summons simultaneously.

===== Bonus Spells =====
At each level, a thaumaturgist gains new spells per day (and spells known, if applicable) as if she had also gained a level in a spellcasting class to which she belonged before adding the prestige class level. She does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained (improved chance of turning or destroying undead, a bonus feat, and so on).
